Android Chart for July 2013: Jelly Bean At 40%, Gingerbread On 33% Devices

Android’s usage chart got refreshment, Google has just released its Platform Version stats numbers to show a snapshot of the Android OS versions being used on devices working today.

With 1st August here, there has been a round up in digits where Jelly Bean leaves GingerBread Behind with the average of 6% over activated devices. Jelly Bean (4.1 and 4.2) rose to 40.5-percent — up from 37.9-percent last month — and together with Ice Cream Sandwich hit 63-percent of the install base. While HoneyComb is just about 0.1% of the devices in use today.
