Samsung Galaxy J8 and J7 Duo running Android 10 appears on WiFi Alliance, rollout to begin soon!

As promised, the Korean giant is on the verge of rolling out Android 10 updates for Galaxy J8 and Galaxy J7 Duo. Both smartphones have appeared on the WiFi Alliance running Android 10. Different model numbers including SM-J810F, SM-J810Y/DS, SM-J810Y, SM-J810M, SM-J810F/DS, SM-J810G/DS, SM-J810GF/DS, SM-J810M/DS, SM-J720F, SM-J720F/DS, SM-J720M, and SM-J720M/DS were listed today running on the upgraded Android version. It appears the update is ready to roll out on Galaxy J8 and J7 Duo in July as mentioned on the update list.

Samsung is consistently rolling our security patches for all the mid-range and high-end devices every month. Since December 2019, the company has become quite ardent in providing the updates. Major Galaxy S series and Note series smartphones have already received the Android 10 update. However, the process is a little delayed for mid-range and entry-level smartphones, but it is better late than never.

The company has already rolled out the Android 10 based One UI 2 on Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A9, Galaxy A50, Galaxy A50s, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A70s, Galaxy A80,  Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy M30s, and Galaxy Fold.

Galaxy J8 Specs

The smartphone was launched in July 2018 with Snapdragon 450 onboard. Further, it houses a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels. It was launched with Android 8.0 Oreo, later it received Android 9 Pie and now the Android 10 update is on the verge of the rollout.

It comes in two different storage versions of 32GB + 3GB and 4GB + 64GB storage. You will get a dual rear camera with a 16-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel depth sensor. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is present on the front side. A 3500 mAh non-removable battery is present. It is available in Black, Gold, Blue, and Purple color variants.
