Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Note Edge, A5 2016 And 2017 Receive July Security Patch

With the July month coming to an end, Samsung is quickly rolling out the July security to a lot of its devices. The list includes the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the Galaxy Note Edge, the Galaxy A5 2016 and A5 2017 devices. All these four smartphones are currently receiving the July security patch as an OTA update. The update brings in fixes to common bugs and overall stability improvements.

The build number of the update for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is G928GUBS3CQG1  and for the Note Edge it is N9150ZCS1CQG1.  Similarly, Galaxy A5 2016 and Galaxy A5 2017 are receiveing A510FXXU4CQG1 and A520FXXU2AQG6 respectively.

This is the first time Samsung is sending out the updates simultaneously to multiple devices. This might be because it wanted to update its smartphones before the month ends.

You might receive the notification for the July security patch for your Samsung device mentioned above anytime soon. If you have not yet received the update you can check for it manually. Just go to Setting->about phone->system updates to see whether you have received the update yet.

Make sure that your phone has at least 50% battery left and is on a stable WiFi connection before your start to download the update.
