Samsung Galaxy Store app receives Material You icon

Samsung is rolling out a new udapte to the Galaxy Store app with support for the Material You icon. The app’s icon will automatically change the theme or color depending on the wallpaper you’ve used on the device. However, there are some other unknown changes that are part of version 6.6.09.62.

The native color of the app icon is pink but changes the color inspired by the phone’s wallpaper or lock screen image. However, the users can even disable the themed icon option in case they find it difficult while navigate between apps.

There are several other Samsung apps that are yet to be optimized with Material You design language. We hope the Korean giant pushes the Material you update for all its native apps, as it will bring a smooth yet consistent look across the UI. Apart from the official apps, there are several major Social Media apps that are yet to adopt the new design language.

Google should push such app publishers to bring the new changes as soon as possible.
