Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 gets Android 11 One UI 3.0 update

Last year Samsung unpacked a bunch of its gadgets like Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7+, Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Watch3, and Galaxy Buds Live. Majority of these were primarily launched on Android 10 but the Korean giant is steadily and slowly rolled out or rolling out Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update on this device. Similarly, the US Carrier locked Galaxy Tab S7 is the latest to grab the Android 11 update.

Samsung introduced Galaxy Tab S7 last year in August featuring an 11.0-inch LTPS TFT with support for 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. It runs on Android 10-based One UI 2.5 and is powered by Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865+ (7nm+) chipset. Tab S7 is available in 128GB + 6GB RAM, 256GB + 8GB RAM, 512GB + 8GB RAM storage variants. In terms of camera, it houses dual 13 MP + 5 MP rear camera and 8 MP single-front camera.

The update brings firmware version T875XXU1BUAC that weighs approximately 2.2 GB. It drives the Android 11 features along with One UI 3.0 skin. The new features include an improved UI, better usability, refined quick panel and December 2020 security patch into consideration.

  • Improved Camera: AI-based zoom on photos, enhanced auto-focus and auto-exposure. organization category in Gallery helps to find pictures instantly.

There are more numerous changes that come along with the update. Samsung is seeding out this update in a phased manner so either you can wait for pop-up notification or manually check by hitting phone Settings > Software updates > Check for updates.
