Samsung partners with McAfee to bring security to its devices

Data security is one of the most important priorities of Gadget users whether it be PC’s Smartphones or any other Gadget. What better way to protect your device than to have a leading anti-virus software on your device out-of-the-box. Samsung has done just that.
Samsung has decided to partner with leading Antivirus company McAfee to provide software to its devices like smart TVs and PCs and even the newly launched Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

According to contract McAfee will McAfee LiveSafe application to Samsung PCs with a 60-day free trial, McAfee Security anti-malware software on Samsung TVs and the McAfee VirusScan app on the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Also, keep in mind, the software isn’t totally free, instead you will get a 60-day free trial after which the service will be paid. The software will be found initially on U.S. and South Korean markets and gradually make its way to other countries.

We have said this earlier that if users follow standard security measures the risk of a virus is minimal, especially on smartphones as Android is a highly secure OS. But many users will consider the app a fail-safe for accidental situations.

Recently, John McAfee the infamous founder of McAfee was in the news when he launched a smartphone called the Privacy Phone which according to him was the “world’s first truly private phone.”
