Speedtest app by Ookla brings new design with version 4.0

Whenever we feel there’s an issue with our internet connection’s speed, we turn towards Ookla to test our network. But as for Android devices, the company’s official app is outdated with a poor old design. However, that has now been fixed with the new update which is being rolled out via Play Store. The new update brings the Speedtest app to version 4.0.

You will notice the new changes as soon as you open the latest version of the app. The background color has been now changed to dark blue and the icons have become minimalistic. And the texts are also now changed to look thinner than before to match the new design. New additions to the app include an ability to measure packet loss and jittery, built-in search option to select the server easily and an option to change the Speedtest gauge to use Mbps or MB/s.

Here, take a look at the official changelog provided by the app developer on the Play Store.

Introducing the new Speedtest!
– All-new design and improved user experience
– Speedtest now measures packet loss & jitter

– Adjust your Speedtest gauge to use Mbps or MB/s, or increase the scale for higher speed connections

In case you are using an older version of the Speedtest app, make sure to update it from the Play Store to experience the new look.
