ZTE Claim Their Phablet Sells Out in Less Than 10 Seconds

Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE claim their new phablet, the Nubia X6 sold out off their web store in less than 10 seconds of going for sale.

Though there is no no official confirmation on the number of phablets that were sold out, making us believe that the numbers could be small. And it looks like ZTE too, like many other Chinese smartphone manufacturers has adopted the “hunger” marketing strategy. This involves putting a much hyped about device up for sale in small numbers to achieve the quick sell outs. Xiaomi too has been using this stratergy for quite some time, achieving quick sell outs on its RedMi note in China and more recently, the Xiaomo Mi3 smartphone in Malaysia. Xiaomi had sold about 10,000 RedMi note handsets in just 34 minutes back im March and two days ago sold about 4000 Mi3 units in less than 17 minutes.

The X6 is currently one of the best phablets out there with a Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM. A 1080p 6.4″ display with two 13MP cameras on board. The phablet will be available in three variants: 32GB, 64GB & 128GB. The device will now be available for $481 on 27th May at 10a.m. local time.
