AllCast Gets Chromecast Support After Update

AllCast has been updated with the Chromecast support in an update today. In just a span of 24 hours after the release of the Chromecast SDK by Google, Koush has added the support for the Chromecast in its AllCast app. Along with the above mentioned feature developer has also added few bug fixes.


AllCast, the app that lets you stream your local media to any DLNA, Airplay, Roku and other devices. One key receiver was missing, though, but now the Chromecast has finally been added back. AllCast Version 1.0.4.6 new features:

  • Chromecast support! (Requires new Google Play Services 4.2.34)
  • Better song info when playing music on DLNA or Roku
  • Power/wake leak fixes
  • Better photo support for DLNA
  • Fix for duplicate device entries in list
  • Fix crash on start
  • Fix AllCast running and eating battery when YouTube or Netflix are in use
