Asphalt 8: Airborne To Launch On August 22 For $0.99

Asphalt 8 Airborne is ready to launch on August 22 for price of $0.99. Earlier it was slated to be released on last Thursday, August 8, but for some unknown reason the game wasn’t quite ready for public release. Today, via twitter, developers (Gameloft) confirmed its availability from next week.

New features expected are new maps with dynamic weather conditions, a new physics engine (for gives a more realistic feeling when you destroy objects or perform stunts), and two new game modes. New maps aka locations include locations such as London, Tokyo, Nevada, and Iceland.

Its also featuring OpenGL ES 3.0, the new 3D graphics standard in Android 4.3. There are  total of 180 events, 47 licensed vehicles, and social integration, players are going to be able to spend a lot of time with this game. Checkout the Asphalt 8 Airborne Trailer:

Gameloft is also giving away 21 free copies of Asphalt 8 on release, one of which will receive an unlock code for the iOS version prior to launch.
