Google Assistant starts rolling out on Android TV

As a part of Google’s objective to integrate its suave Digital Assistant in myriads of appliances and electronic devices. Today, Google has seeded the Google Assistance support to NVIDIA SHIELD TV. In effect, the SHIELD TV is now crowned as the first Android TV to feature the Google Assistant.

The Google Assistant support hits the SHIELD TV through a system update, that elevates its software version to 6.0. Once the update carrying Google Assistant is installed, users can control their Shield using voice commands. Just like the voice commands we feed to the Google Assistant on our smartphones. All you have to say is, “Hey Google” or “OK Google” to summon the Google Assistant on your Android TV and input some commands.

For example, Google Assistant on SHIELD TV or any other Android TV’s that might get the Assistance soon – can Play Game of Thrones or your favorite contents, find the latest blockbuster shows, play 4K content on YouTube, reduce the brightness and many other things, just by voice inputs.

Moreover, Google is bundling a free three month YouTube Red trial on SHIELD TV as a welcome offer of Google Assistant on Android TV. Also, the Google Assistant will be soon available on Sony Bravia TVs in the coming months as per Google.

Anyway, if you are a SHIELD TV owner and haven’t updated to the latest system version. Just accept the Google Assistant system update on your SHIELD and press your remote’s mic button after the device restarts. Well, now you are ready to interact with the smart Google Assistant on the SHIELD.
