Google Drive 2.0 Gets Improved Viewing

Google is on a spree to show its hard work that its workers have done in this full year. After some mega announcements yesterday of Google Android L and its purely lovable features along with Android TV, Android Wear and Android Auto. Here comes Google Drive which has received v2.0 today after initial preview at Google IO.

Version 2.0.222.39 of the Drive Android app (up from 1.3) brings one notable user facing change in the form of a new document view interface that puts frequent tasks, such as renaming, downloading a copy, or sharing with a contact, at your fingertips. Previously, these tasks were hidden in the overflow menu.

It brings the modern UI bas3ed on Material design to the Web and Android app.Now you can perform tasks from the same screen with less taps. Google Drive 2.0 also brings more engagement to the app. The screen now allows you to share, download, move, and rename a file–and if you hit the overflow button, you can print and delete as well.

Currently the Android app is not available via Play Store. Checkout the whole coverage from the Google IO 2014.
