Google Glasses: Wink To Snap Pictures

According to code in the Glass companion Android App, MyGlass, you can snap pictures by winking your eyes. Reddit user fodawim explored that the Glass companion application contains some interesting pieces of code that suggests that Google plan to include special gestures to make interacting with the device easier.

As according to code listed below also suggests that  eye gestures will be just one of the many ways users will be able to interact with their Glass. Same guy from Reddit also stumbled  a code fragment containing “eye gesture” reference in it:

  • EYE_GESTURES_WINK_ENABLED
  • EYE_GESTURES_WINK_DISABLED
  • EYE_GESTURES_WINK_CALIBRATION_SUCCESS
  • EYE_GESTURES_WINK_CALIBRATION_FAILURE
  • EYE_GESTURES_WINK_TAKE_PHOTO

Google unveiled Project Glass in April, 2012 and recently they outed its technical specification and delivered the developer edition of Google Glass to developers who have ordered it at Google IO 2012 for $1500.

Recently Eric Schmidt also quoted that it will not be available to general public until 2014. So we have to wait a year more before going through its hands on.
