Google has first announced its Google lens standalone application at Google I/O 2017 which means it exists for more than a year now. Google Lens is already available to a number of devices like Pixel-series and Nexus-series but what about other devices. This time some new information is there according to which several handsets from OnePlus have received the Google Lens support. So without wasting a moment let’s check out some in-depth information.

Google has shifted Google Lens from a standalone app to an integrated feature. Google Lens is now present in Google Assistant which makes it way easier to trigger and use. This feature was first noticed by a Reddit member named Agent8923 on his/her OnePlus device. In brief, the feature is rolling out for OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus 5T. In case you are wondering about the upcoming OnePlus 6, then it will surely come with this integrated feature.

If you are the one who has heard the name of Google Lens for the first time then we don’t know under which cave you are living till now. Google Lens is an app which is developed to recognize and give information about our surroundings, it works by making use of our smartphone’s camera. After the rollout, the feature will appear at the bottom right corner. Touching the icon will open the Camera and it is ready for use. This feature integration has been recently received by the Galaxy S8, S9 and the Galaxy Note 8. Over the time other smartphones from different manufacturers will receive this integration but we may have to wait for a while.
