HTC Q4 2014 Financial Report Looks Good

HTC has published its Q4 2014 financial reports and it seems that HTC has continued its momentum of gaining some profit after long period of loss.

First talking about the revenue, HTC’s revenue for Q4 2014 was $1.524 billion (NT$47.9 billion), which is an improvement compared to a year before, HTC’s revenue was $224 million higher than a year before. HTC made a quarterly net profit of NT$0.5 billion which is around $16 million at the current exchange rate.

HTC finished the year with a third consecutive quarter of profitability, and is well-positioned to build on that solid platform in the year ahead by ensuring our portfolio is highly targeted and our message clearly communicated. Key to our improved sales performance was our ability to offer tailored product mixes at suitable price points within the regions, which enabled us to closely address the needs of specific markets.” – Peter Chou, HTC CEO.

Well it is quite a good boost for HTC as they were loosing money from last consecutive quarters. It will surely boost the company’s new strategy of diversification. HTC is heading for Q1 2015 and we expect much more profit this time. HTC is expecting their revenue to be between $1.32 and $1.43 billion (NT$41.5 and NT$45 billion).

We are expecting some flagship devices from HTC this quarter and mainly the most rumored HTC One M9 at Mobile World Congress 2015 on March 1.
