India soon to surpass the US as second largest smartphone market

India is seeing a rapid growth in the sales of the Smartphone. In the last year due to increase in number of 4G services, people have opted for more and more smartphones. The speed of growth is higher than that of China and other markets. Due to the growth India is going to surpass the US by taking second place in terms of second largest smartphone market.

Today at the launch of the Moto Z2 Play in India, Motorola posted some estimates. In a similar estimate, Motorola expected that 127 Million smartphones will be shipped in India this year. It is a huge number and will lead to cross the US in terms of Smartphone penetration in whole country.

The numbers do not seem to fluctuate as the sales have happened through carriers, not SIM-free devices. India is not a saturated market as like of China and the US, which tends to give little fluctuations.
