[Update: May 2021 Security Patch] Nokia 6.1 Plus Update Tracker
HMD Global unveiled the Indian variant of Nokia 6.1 Plus in August 2018. The device is also known as Nokia X6 in China. It features a 5.8-inch full HD panel with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, Nokia 6.1 equips Snapdragon 636 paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It packs with dual camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor at the rear and 16MP snapper at the front. Interestingly, Nokia 6.1 got out of stock on the Flipkart sale in just 3 Minutes!

[June 1, 2021]: It’s day 1 for June and Nokia 6.1 is grabbing the May 2021 security patch. The new software is rolling out in India that weighs around 20MB in size. This is a minor bump in safety level and does not bring any major changes in favor of user experience. But, internally, it brings fixes for severe issues and critical security vulnerability in the System component as defined by Google.
[January 6, 2020]: The HMD owned company is rolling out the Android 10 update for Nokia 6.1 Plus globally. Android 10 brings a new experience of using the smartphone with a system-wide dark theme, Smart reply, Live Caption, New parental controls, edge-edge gestures, and much more. The OTA update will reach out to all units in some time. But, you cal always track the build manually by heading to Settings > About > Software updates. Also, we advise users to switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid additional charges.
