OnePlus 6 and 6T, the flagship devices in 2018 from OnePlus are still receiving updates. Not many brands provide updates to their devices for this long, but, OnePlus is still doing it. OxygenOS 10.3.12 Update for OnePlus 6 and 6T

It brings the latest July 2021 Security patch for the device while carrying some fixes and improvements.  The update is rolling out in a staged manner which means it will be available only for a few users for the initial days. Later, upon successful verification of the build, the update will see a broader rollout to most of the OnePlus 6 and 6T devices.  OnePlus also told that using a VPN for the update won’t work as it is a region-dependent update.

The best thing about OnePlus is that they take the feedback very seriously and they are doing the same this time. You can provide feedback via the OnePlus Community app. Both OnePlus 6 & 6T may not receive any major Android updates in the future, but they will still receive the monthly updates for some time.

OnePlus 6 & 6T are very old devices and still receiving updates adds up to the value of the device. However, the current situation is worrisome for OnePlus users due to the 5G band issues. We hope, the company will fade away with the issues considering the previous success track.

However, the users can enjoy the OxygenOS 10.3.12 on the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6 Pro.
