Redmi A1+ launched in India with MediaTek Helio A22 for Rs 7499 (~$91)

Following the Redmi A1 launch a few weeks ago, a new upgraded version, Redmi A1+ is launched in India in the affordable price segment. It is already available in the global markets for $85. The device will compete against the Realme C22 and other smartphones in the same segment. The device made in India and made for India carries decent specifications and features.

Redmi A1+ Specifications and Features

Redmi A1+ comes with a 6.52-inch LCD HD+ dot drop display offering 1600 x 720 resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered with MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with 2/3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage variants. It supports expandable storage up to 512GB microSD card slot.

In the camera department, there’s an 8MP primary camera sensor on the rear and a 5MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.

It bundles a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. In connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G LTE, 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB type-C port. There’s also a rear fingerprint scanner for easy accessibility.

Pricing

Redmi A1+ with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is retailing for Rs 7499, and the variant with 3GB RAM is available for Rs 8499. It is available in three color options – black, blue and light green. The sale will commence on Flipkart, mi.com, mi Home, and across offline platforms starting October 17, 12 noon.
