Samsung Galaxy A22 4G announced with Mediatek Helio G80 and a 90Hz sAMOLED Panel

The Samsung Galaxy A22 Series has been leaked pretty extensively. It has previously appeared on Geekbench, FCC, TKDN, and other certification websites. Today, Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A22 4G. The Samsung Galaxy A22 is an entry-level A Series Device. The device is equipped with the Mediatek Helio G90 SoC and a 90Hz sAMOLED Panel.

Samsung Galaxy A22 4G Specifications

The device ships with a 6.4″ HD+ AMOLED Display. It is a 90Hz high refresh rate display. The display sports Samsung’s Infinity-U notch which houses the front selfie camera. Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is powered by the Mediatek Helio G90 processor. It is an octa-core chipset, built on the 12nm fabrication process. Graphical duties are handled by the ARM Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. For security and authentication, it ships with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Talking about the camera, Samsung has equipped this device with a rear quad camera setup. There’s a 48MP primary shooter with OIS, which is a rarity at this budget. It has an 8MP Ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, followed by a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP macro camera, both having an f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone has a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device will run Android 11 based OneUI out of the box.

Samsung has also provided a microSD card slot, USB Type-C port for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. All this is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. The device supports fast charging up to 15W. The Galaxy A22 4G weighs 186g and ships in 4 colors- Black, White, Mint, and Violet. The device will be available in three memory configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM, and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM.
