Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is now receiving One UI 3.1 update

Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is getting the latest Android 11 (based One UI 3.1) update. The smartphone is still in the process of launching globally with One UI 2.5 (based on Android 10) as its basic OS and now it is receiving a new Android 11 update.

The new update will come with firmware version A426BXXU1BUB7 and brings fixes to three of its vulnerable issues. It also brings system stability and performance improvements. The smartphone will also receive the February 2021 security patch along with the update. Major changes include up-gradation to Android 11 along with a new interface version One UI 3.1. The update is rolling out in the Netherlands as per the reports.

Galaxy A42 was still running on One UI 2.5 since the beginning. But now, the 5G device is completely hopping onto One UI 3.1. The all-new Android 11 brought about by Samsung will soon take big smartphone brands by storm. Also, the smartphone will soon receive the March 2021 security update.

The new update has rolled out only in the Netherlands as of now. No other country has received the update. As per the sources, the rollout process for other countries will start in the next week or so. Samsung is taking over the market with its new Android 11 update for almost each of its flagships.
