Samsung Galaxy Fold bags April 2021 Security Patch update

Samsung is struggling hard to provide updates to its smartphones regularly. Recently, the Galaxy A52, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy S20 FE, and others have bagged a couple of  updates. The company has now started lining up the April 2021 Security Patch update to the Galaxy Fold users. The update can be identified on the firmware version F900FXXU4EUCF, and it is currently rolling out only in France. However, we can exApril 2021 Security Patchpect the wider release shortly.

As of today, Samsung has not shared the exact changelog of this update. However, as it is a regular security update, it usually includes fixes for issues and security loopholes, improvements to system and applications, optimizations, etc. Apart from these, we can’t expect any significant changes or new features. However, we will update the article once the changelog becomes official.

The OTA update may take at least one week to reach you naturally as it follows the phased rollout and needs to be verified. However, the update can be checked physically by heading over to Settings>Software updates. If the update is available, download and install it to experience improved performance.

Samsung Galaxy Fold Specifications

The Galaxy Fold was launched by Samsung back in 2019, featuring a 7.3-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED display (1536 x 2152 pixels ) and a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Cover display (720 x 1680 pixels). The phone ships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) Chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. In-camera department, it houses a triple rear camera and a 10-MP + 8-MP dual front-facing camera. On the top, the phone loads with Android 9.0 (Pie) and packs a 4,380 mAh battery.
