Asus Zenfone 6 receiving new update with Android 11-based firmware v18.0610.2101.132 in India

Asus Zenfone 6 was launched a couple of years back powering Android 9.0 (Pie). The device at first received March 2020 security update last year followed by the software update along with July 2020 security patch and then, the very next month got August security update.

Today, a new update has again knocked up bugs that were reported earlier. The update is rolling out for the Zenfone 6 India variant.

  • Fixed the order of apps in all apps list changed after rebooting.
  • Fixed the problem that under Hebrew (right language), the colour temperature setting value is opposite to the applied effect.

The OTA update brings firmware version 18.0610.2101.132 and that is being rolled out in a phased-wise manner. Accordingly, the user has to wait or may check it manually via phone settings > system > system updates.

As stated above, the phone was launched in 2019 featuring a screen size of 6.4-inch with IPS LCD, HDR10 display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It is powered by Android 9.0 (Pie) which is up-gradable to Android 11 (ZenUI). The device is paired with a Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) chipset, Octa-core CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. The device is available in 64 GB + 6 GB RAM, 128 GB + 6 GB RAM and 256 GB + 8 GB RAM storage variants. Zenfone 6 carries a motorized flip-up camera module consisting of dual 14MP wide and 13MP ultrawide sensors.
