Google Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Chromecast with Google TV, Nest Speaker launched Officially

Today, in the online “Launch Night In” event, Google has officially launched Pixel 5, Pixel 4a 5G, Chromecast with Google TV, and Nest smart Speaker in the United States. As of now, the New Chromecast with Google TV is only available to buy in the country for $49.

Google Pixel 5 Specifications

The device houses with a 6-inch OLED display (1080 x 2340 pixels) and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, & a Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by an octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Coming to the camera, it packs a dual rear camera that compromises of 12.2 MP primary camera with f/1.7 lens + 16-MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there’s an 8-MP single camera for selfies and video calling. Pixel 5 comes with a 4,080mAh battery that lasts for one day after a full charge. Moreover, it comes with the 18W Qi wireless charging support.

Interestingly, Google Pixel 5 runs Android 11 out of the box, and the company promised that it would provide Software and Security Patch updates up to 3 years. The connectivity options of the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC etc. The smartphone measures 144.7 x 70.4×8.0 mm and weighs around 151 grams.

Price and Availability

  • Google Pixel 5 costs $699 (Approx. Rs. 51,415) and will go on sale from October 15 in the United States. The company has also started taking the pre-orders, and additionally, users will be getting Bose QC 35 II for free with the pre-order.
  • The device is available in two colors, i.e., Just Black and Sorta Sage.
  • On the purchase of Google Pixel 5, you will be getting Google Stadia, 3 months of YouTube Premium trial subscription, Google Play Pass and Gold/Silver Status on Play Points, 100 GB Google One storage up to 3 months.

Google Pixel 4a 5G Specifications

Talking about the Google Pixel 4a, it houses a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 Pixels, 60Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and 413ppi density. Moreover, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

In terms of camera, there’s a dual rear camera setup that assembles with 12MP Primary camera + 16MP wide-angle (107° and ƒ/2.2) lens and an 8-MP single camera on the front side. Google Pixel 4a runs Android 11 out of the box and packs a 3,885 mAh battery with 18W USB-C fast charging support. Moreover, there’s a fingerprint scanner on the rear side just below the camera. In-connectivity, it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, 5G Network, etc.

Price and Availability

Google Pixel 4a 5G is priced at $499 (Approx. Rs. 36,713), and the smartphone will be available for purchase on November 5. Interested users can pre-order the device from November 5 onwards and get Bose QC 35 II headphones for free.

Chromecast with Google TV

Talking about the new Chromecast, it costs around $49, and it is already available to buy in the United States. Furthermore, the Chromecast runs Android TV OS out of the box. The device comes with a short remote which offers Google Assistant, Netflix, and Youtube buttons. Similar to all the other TVs, it also comes with a few pre-loaded apps like Netflix, Prime, etc., and there’s also the Google Play store to download additional apps. It is available in Snow, Sky, and Sunrise colors.

Google Nest Speaker

Google’s new Nest Speaker is the replacement for the old Google Home. It is priced at $99 (Approx. Rs. 7,284) and will go on sale from October 5 in 21 countries. The company has also started taking the pre-orders, and the interested users can place an order from Google Store. The Nest Speaker powers with Quad Core A53 1.8 GHz Processor.

The connectivity options include built-in Chromecast, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth v5.0 etc. The Speaker also comes with support for the Android and iOS operating systems.
