The era of Android Wear powered smartwatches has just begun with the advent of the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live while the Motorola Moto 360 is still awaited. LG began shipping out the G Watch to users not a long time ago and from what we’re hearing, the G Watch’s successor is already here.
LG is the first manufacturer to bring out the second generation of Android Wear powered smartwatches and if sources are to be believed, the watch could be making its appearance as early as the beginning of this September during the IFA in Berlin.
This information has been brought out by an LG official in his statement to Korea Times. What remains unknown is that whether the event by LG will be open to all the enthusiasts or will be an exclusive event for the media and business clients.
The official from LG also reported that the LG G Watch 2 will be coming out sporting an OLED display.
