OnePlus Nord CE gets stable Android 12 update with OxygenOS 12.1

According to the OnePlus update policy, the Nord series is eligible to receive two major Android updates. On that note, the OnePlus Nord CE is now receiving the Android 12 update based on OxygenOS 12.1. The device was launched last year in July with Android 11 out of the box.

The latest software update for the OnePlus Nord CE is available with the firmware version EB2101_11_C.04 weighing less than 4GB to download. The news was delivered by a user via the OnePlus Community. However, the company did not make it official yet. To receive the OTA update notification, make sure that you run the latest OxygenOS 11 build.

As for changes, the package brings multiple new features. Also, it optimizes the system design and performance. Besides, the changelog for the build is quite lengthy and feature enriched. Take a look at the precise modifications below

    • Newly added Work Life Balance feature, allowing you to effortlessly switch between

    • Newly supported automatic Work/ Life mode switching, based on specific locations, WiFi network, and time, also bringing customized App notification profiles according to the personalization
  • Gallery
    •  Newly supported switching between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognizing the best-quality pictures, and cropping the thumbnail based on the content, making the gallery layout more pleasing
  • Canvas AOD
    • Newly added diverse styles of lines and colors, for a more personalized lock screen
      experience with inspiring visuals
    • Newly added multiple brushes and strokes and support for color adjustment

As always, the OTA update is rolling out in batches and will reach out to all users within a week. Meanwhile, you can try visiting Settings > System updates to give it a manual check.
