Moto Z2 Play new leak reveals the Gold, Silver and Grey Color variants

Moto Z2 Play leaks in new renders which reveal its three different color variants i.e. Gold, Silver and Grey Color variants. Recently in some leaks we came to know all the specs of Moto Z2 Play. Coming back to this leak it is posted by a trusted leakstar @rquandt on twitter.

Moto Z2 Play packs with a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1080 x 1920 resolution. It will be powered with Snapdragon 626 SoC with octa-core 2.2GHz CPU. The phone is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Internal storage. Moto Z2 play is also packed with a 12-megapixel, f/1.7 component featuring dual autofocus pixels as primary camera. The phone runs on android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The phone is backed up by a 3,000mAh Battery.

However, Still there is no news regarding the launch date of Moto Z2 Plus. Recently lenovo owned Motorola has launches its entry level android phones Moto C and Moto C Plus. Moreover, there are news about the Moto G5s and Moto G5S Plus.

Google Play Store v7.8.74 APK now available for download

Google is pushing out the new version of the Play Store. It is now rolling out to few devices, while major of the users are still waiting for it. You can download the Google Play Store v7.8.74 from the source link below via APKMirror.

There’s no changelog available for the v7.8.74 which launches today. Recently, Google have added many design changes to the Play Store App. They have refined the look with new UI elements.They have even added, Instant Apps support ot the latest build.

Right now it is not available for most of the users. So in order to download and install the new version of the update. You need to update your settings to allow your device to install the app. Head to the Settings » Security and enable the installation by ‘Unknown sources’ feature.

Samsung id gearing up for the Launch of its two mid range Android Phones i.e. Galaxy J5 2017 and Galaxy J7 2017. But before the official launch of both these phones hands-on video spotted online. The video is in Russian language and doesn’t have any subtitles.

According to the Video leaked. Both Galaxy J7 and J5 2017 are packed with full metal body and home buttons on which fingerprint scanners are embedded. At the back side of the phone there are antenna bands which are visible.

According to the previous leaks, Galaxy J7 2017 is packed with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Samsung Exynos 7870 processor which is paired with Mali-T830 GPU chip. The is having 3GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The galaxy J7 2017 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Galaxy J5 2017 is packed with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display supports HD resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. It is powered with Exynos 7570 chipset and paired with 2GB of RAM. The phone will have 16 GB of internal storage. It is also packs with 13 MP camera at the back and front side of the phone. The phone is backed up by the 3000 mAh battery.

However, there is no official information regarding the launch date of the phone.

APUS Launcher update brings new animations and many other changes

APUS Group has pushed a new update to its Launcher on Play Store. It packs many new features and enhancements like new animations, ability to hide apps, etc. The latest version 3.2.8 is rolling out now via the Play Store.

The most anticipated feature of this update is the “Hide app”, You can easily hide the apps which you don’t want to show to others. Further there, there’s a new animations for the Smart Folders. Indeed, Smart Folders automatically arrange, similar group dapps into one folder.

Developers have eased the accessibility of couple of features. They have allowed you to easily enable or disable the APUS style icon pack. Further, double tapping the home screen allows you to get more themes.

Further, there are many more features that have already been present in the Launcher. This new update also packs some bug fixes and improvements.

The update is now live in the Play Store. You can head over to the Store to update your app.

Chinese variant of Galaxy Note 8 gets certification in China

Samsung Galaxy Note 8, a new awaited phablet device from Samsung for this year. Already, we have some leaks and rumors about the device. Today, there’s one more addition to the leaks, as the chinese variant of the Galaxy Note 8 has certified by a Chinese agency.

A tipster has posted an image of the certification of the model numbers model numbers SM-N9500 and N9508 for China. The phablet device seems to packs with 6.3 inch of display and further it seems to be compatible with most of the bands in China. (Obviously if it is a Chinese variant).

As far the rumors are concerned, then Galaxy Note 8 is going to pack 12MP+13MP dual rear camera. Both these cameras will act as wide angle lens and telephoto lens. Taking a look into the performance, then it is going to pack a Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895. In terms of RAM then it is going to be at 6GB with 256GB of storage support.

Also, Note 8 seems to carry a battery of 3600 mAh with IP68 certification.

BlackBerry KEYone hits record pre-orders hit on Rogers in Canada

Blackberry is running behind schedule to bring its latest offering, the KEYone, to its home market in Canada, as well as the US. But that hasn’t slowed down interest in the device, not in Canada at least.

President of TCL Communication Steve Cistulli on Friday took to Twitter to show some important news regarding pre-orders. According to him, the BlackBerry KEYone is the highest pre-ordered BlackBerry device on Canada-based carrier Rogers. Now, seeing that Rogers (Rogers Cantel in 1999) was a forerunner in offering Blackberry devices in the past, these results are positive and promising for future sales.

Another piece of information revealed by Cistulli was about availability in the US. He confirms that the KEYone will be in stock on 31st May in the US. It will be sold through different retail channels. The BlackBerry KEYone is priced at $549.

What makes the BlackBerry KEYone a very tempting handset is its formidable combination of traditional design and stellar battery life. BlackBerry has returned to its roots and done what they do so well. Make great QWERTY keyboards!

The other tempting feature is the big battery of the handset which is 3505 mAH, the biggest on any BlackBerry device.Combine that with a relatively smaller screen and you have 2-day battery life. It runs on the latest Android OS which makes the KEYone to good to resist.

AT&T Galaxy S6 Active gets May Security Patch update

Some days back AT&T started pushing the May Security patch to latest Samsung devices like the Galaxy S7 and all its variants. While yesterday 4 other Samsung devices namely the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 received the updates as well. Now we have the Galaxy S6 Active in line for the latest security patch. The update is rolling out to devices OTA as we speak.

The security patch will be visible to S6 Active users as a software version G890AUCU6DQE1. Security patches usually aren’t big in size and they require less storage space. Their main function is to patch the weaknesses in your device that hackers might be able to make use of. It also contains some bug fixes to known issues as well as performance improvements. This update is only 15 Mb in size.

As always, take care to backup your important data, get your phone charged up to 50% for any unforeseen accidents and you should be good to go. As for those who can’t wait for the update, they should head to Settings » Software update to look manually.

Nova Launcher Beta v5.1 gets the Android O Dynamic Badges in latest update

Nova Launcher is rolling out an update to the beta app. The update packs with new Android O feature i.e. dynamic notifications Badges. The feature of Dynamic Notification Badge is added in Android O latest preview build.

Nova Launcher is the most popular third party launcher for Android devices. With this new update users can choose which style of badge they would like (none, dynamic badges, dots, or numeric badges). Moreover, you can also choose the corner of the icon on which the notification badge will appear. The size of the badge is also changeable in settings.

Huawei launches mid-range Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus in China

Huawei has now taken the wraps off the Huawei Nova 2 and the Huawei Nova 2 Plus as promised. Both devices are the successors of the last year’s Nova and Nova Plus. These two devices represent Huawei in the premium mid-range smartphone segment. So what do they offer? Let’s take a look

First of all, Huawei is seen gravitating towards the P-series design with these two devices leaving the Honor’s shiny glossy look.

You’ll see the biggest step up is in the camera, as both the devices now sport dual rear cameras sensors. One of them is a 12MP with f/1.8 aperture, the other is an 8MP with optical zoom. Even more astonishing is the front selfie camera pegged at 20 MP.

Both the devices are fairly similar except the Huawei Nova 2 is 5.0-inches and the Nova 2 Plus is 5.5-inches. Both the devices packs 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and both have 4GB of RAM. They also share the same Android version of Nougat with EMUI 5.1. You can even download the beautiful wallpapers from both the devices here.

The Huawei Nova 2 has a smaller 64GB storage compared to the Nova 2 Plus which has 128GB of storage. They have expandable storage support up to 128GB, The bigger model of the two also sports a bigger 3,340mAh battery. While the smaller model has a 2,950 mAh battery. The duo also has 2.5D Glass at the front and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The Huawei Nova 2 is quite thin at just 6.9mm and weighs 143 grams. While the bigger sibling weighs 169 grams.

Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus availability and pricing:

The Nova 2 is priced at CNY 2,500 ($365/Rs 23,510 approx.). While, the Nova 2 Plus is priced at CNY 2,900 ($420/Rs 27,275 approx.). Color options for both the devices include Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Gold, Obsidian Black and Rose Gold. The two devices are up for pre-order from today in China and will go on sale on June 16.

Android TV awaiting new User Interface with Android O

Android O is here with its beta build and now it is going to rock the Android TV also. Today, via blog post, Google revealed the new look of the Android TV based on Android O. Google wants to make the content easily accessible to its users, so the new design talks the same.

As depicted in the picture you can see the bigger icons, and bigger buttons on Android TV UI. This whole new look is available with new APIs. Google has given more powers to the app developers as now they can make their apps make multiple channels, which will be visible as rows on your screen. Overall, if we can say that Google has improved and has cleaned the UI of the Android TV.

If we go to other features, than Android TV is going to get the Google Assistant. It can allow you to search the content, play the content and delete the content. Even it can dim the lights of your room, if you have collected.

Android O for Android TV si going to rollout later this year. Google Assistant feature will also be available on Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat Android TV units.
