Motorola isn’t known for being quick with updates as compared to other OEMs. However, the company has already shipped out the stable Android 11 update to its flagships like Moto G Stylus, Moto One Hyper, Moto Razr 5G, and more. Presently, the Verizon-based Motorola One 5G units in the USA are joining the group.
The new build for the US variants of Motorola One 5G can be identified by firmware version RPN31.Q1-51-30-1. Along with the Android 11 goodies like chat bubbles, smart device control, native screen recorder, one-time permission, and more, the company is also unfurling the March 2021 Android security patch to the smartphone.
Moreover, the Lenovo-owned firm has shared a crisp note of what changes the smartphone is going to receive after flashing the new package.
The current software update introduces the Android 11 Operating System and the most up-to-date Android security patches on your device. Android 11 is optimized for how you use your phone. Say hello to new and improved powerful device controls, easier ways to manage conversations, privacy settings, and so much more. So what’s new on Android 11 on your Motorola smartphone?
As mentioned, presently only Verizon variants of Motorola One 5G are grabbing the Android 11 OS. The company will probably soon release it to the unlocked models and the AT&T models in the U.S as well.
As usual, the build is rolling out in a phase-wise manner, if you can’t hold on you can also track it manually via the Settings app > Software Update > Download and Install.
