Now that Android 13 is finally cooked up, all the major smartphone brands, including Samsung has started testing their customized skin iteration for the eligible flagships. Earlier this month, the company released the One UI 5.0 Bets for the Galaxy S22 series. Now, the predecessor, the Galaxy S21 becomes the next lineup to join the program.

[Update: October 20, 2022]: The Korean giant is bringing the OneUI 5.0 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S21 Units in India. Bearing the identification ZVJ6, the update is easily available via “Software update” and then tap “Download and install.”
[Update: October 12, 2022]: Samsung has now released the third One UI 5.0 beta for the Galaxy S21 series. The update is available for users in South Korea and the UK, while other markets will also get access soon. The beta testers can identify the build by firmware version ending with ZVJ3.
As for changes, the package improves system privacy by integrating the October 2022 security patch. In addition, it brings a handful of bug fixes, including crashes when opening app folders, using the S Pen Air Command on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, or changing the wallpaper. Moreover, the screen freezing bug while returning from the Widgets screen to the home screen is taken care of.

Needless to say, it eliminates some bugs that were onboard with the first beta version. As for changes, it enables the lock screen customization by long-press the screen itself. [Update: September 14, 2022]: Samsung has extended the availability of the One UI 5.0 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series. This time, the update is live for the unlocked units in the Indian market. Interested users can register themselves and taste the One UI 5.0 features before its official release. Once the build is successfully tested and all the bugs are eliminated, it will have a wider rollout.

[August 31, 2022]: As of now, the availability of the One UI 5.0 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series is limited to South Korea and the UK. In the UK, the program is restricted to unlocked variants. The users can identify the build via firmware version G99xBXXU5ZVHE. Also, the company can soon expand the package to more markets as well.
As for changes, the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta update will pack a plethora of features. To name a few, it includes new Material You theming colors, tweaked notifications icons, stacked widgets, new multi-tasking gestures, enhanced privacy and security, and much more. Moreover, it will bring OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature that will allow the user to copy text from an image and keyboard.

To download the One UI 5.0 beta on your device, download the Samsung Members app and follow the below steps:
- Visit the Notification Page and click on the Register for One UI Beta Program link
- After that, Accept the terms and conditions.
- Now, go to the device’s Settings > gear icon > Download and install.
- Lastly, submit the feedback via the Samsung Members app.
