  • [December 19, 2023]: Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 get official One UI 6 update. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 picks up its second major OS upgrade with F936USQU3EWL1 firmware version number and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 gets F721U1UEU3EWL1 firmware version number.
  • [November 07, 2023]: The Samsung Galaxy delivered One UI 6.0 beta 2 update to Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices. The update available in the Korean and Indian regions. The update has arrived with its identification build number, which is ZWJJ.
  • [August 23, 2023]: The One UI 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with firmware version F721NKSU2DWH5 in South Korea, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is getting the One UI 5.1.1 update with firmware version F936NKSU2DWH5. The new updates also bring the August 2023 security patch.
  • [August 18, 2023]: The company released the One UI 5.1.1 update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The One UI 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with firmware version F936BXXU4DWH5  and it includes the August 2023 security patch
  • [August 09, 2023]: This latest August 2023 incremental update has arrived with its identification build number for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.  Galaxy Z Fold 4 build number is  F936U1UES3CWG4 firmware version, and for Galaxy Z Flip 4 is F721U1UES3CWG4 build version.
  • [July 05, 2023]: The Galaxy Z Fold 4 device that gets One UI 5.1.1 beta update in South Korea. The software version for the beta update is F936NKSU2ZWFB.
  • [July 03, 2023]: The Galaxy Z Fold 4 received the June 2023 security update. The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes bearing firmware version F936USQU2CWEM. The update is currently available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile and the June 2023 security patch fixes more than 50 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
  • [April 11, 2023]: The Samsung has released the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Europe, Latin America, and its homeland South Korea. The update comes with the firmware build number F936BXXU2CWCC in the former two regions, while that for the latter is F936NKSU2CWCC.
  • [April 05, 2023]: New update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 is rolling out with the April 2023 Security Update. The software version for the Z Flip 4 comes in as F721U1UES2CWC9, while the Z Fold 4 comes in as F936U1UES2CWC9. Again, these are currently only available on T-Mobile branded units.
  • [March 13, 2023]: The update is available for both locked and unlocked versions of the Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4. For Verizon-locked devices, the update has version numbers F936USQS2CWB1 and F721USQS2CWB1, respectively. And also carries the March 2023 security patch that will make your devices more secure and smooth than ever.
  • [February 20, 2023]: The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 unlocked US version comes with firmware version F936U1UEU1CWAC. The new software brings the February 2023 security patch that fixes plenty of security vulnerabilities.
  • [February 20, 2023]: The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 carrier unlocked version in the US and it comes with the firmware version F721U1UEU1CWAC. The update also brings the February 2023 security patch that aims to fix dozens of security vulnerabilities found in Samsung smartphones.
  • [February 13, 2023]: Samsung officially rolled out the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This latest version of Samsung is coming to Galaxy Z Flip 4 with the firmware version F721BXXU1CWAC in the Netherlands.
  • [January 19, 2023]: Samsung released the January 2023 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The latest update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 (SM-F936U1) carries firmware version F936U1UES1BWA2. The update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has firmware version F721U1UES1BWA2. These new updates bring January 2023 security patch which contains fixes for more than fifty security issues.
  • [January 18, 2023]: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone users are now getting the January 2023 security patch update in Europe. The January 2023 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with firmware version F936BXXS1BWA2.

  • [November 11, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 units in the US are finally receiving the stable OneUI 5.0 update. The update arrives via the firmware version F936U1UEU1BVK3.

  • [November 07, 2022]: Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 carrying the November 2022 Security Patch update. The firmware F721BXXS1AVJE is rolling out to the devices in Ireland. If not received it yet, then make sure to head over to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.
  • [October 18, 2022]: Samsung OneUI 5.0 Beta Program is live for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in South Korea, India and the UK. Interested users can head over to the Samsung Community to roll in for the Beta update. However, you need to sign in after downloading the Samsung Community App, and then a thread will be about the Open Beta program for your device in the respective countries.
  • [October 17, 2022]: Verizon-based Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are running receiving October 2022, Security patch in the US. The firmware version SP2A.220305.013.F936USQS1AVII is rolling out for Galaxy Z Fold 4 andSP2A.220305.013.F721USQS1AVII for Galaxy Z Flip 4 is bringing the security patch along with some other changes.
  • [October 13, 2022]: Samsung is upgrading the Galaxy Z Fold 4 with October 2022 security patch. The update is rolling out in Israel with firmware version F936BXXS1AVJ3. It resolves 47 security vulnerabilities. Besides, it can also include some general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
  • [October 3, 2022]: Verizon-based Galaxy Z Fold4 is receiving September 2022 Security Patch in the United States. The firmware version F936USQU1AVIG brings performance improvements along with the new security patch. Below is the official changelog:

The current software update provides performance improvements and the most up to date Android security patches on your device.

  • [September 1, 2022]: Samsung is releasing the first update for the new Galaxy foldables in South Korea and the US. The build improves the system stability via firmware version F721BXXU1AVHH for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. For the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the package bumps the version number to F936BXXU1AVHH. Unfortunately, the security patch level remains at July 2022. Anyway, this first update may come pre-installed with your new device.

All of the updates are rolling out in phases. Accordingly, it may take some time to reach all the units. In the meantime, you can also trigger the build manually. To do so, visit Settings > Software updates and check for the update manually. Lastly, we recommend you switch over to a WiFi network before flashing the update to avoid carrier data charges.
