Motorola sends Android 11 update to Razr 5G

Motorola unveiled Razr 5G last year in September with Android 10 out of the box. The Lenovo-owned firm is sending Android 11 OS update to the smartphone. Although, it took a lot of time for the build to step out from Japan and reach other countries. But, it’s better late than never!

The fresh operating system for Motorola Razr G arrives with a build number RPS31.Q1-40-17-12, which weighs 1.8GB in size. Reportedly, the firmware is live in Australia, Europe, India, and Brazil with some other South American countries as well.

Needless to say that the update will bring all the Android 11 goodies like a power button menu, dynamic media control, smart conversations, native screen recorder, scheduled dark thee, one-time permissions, and much more.

Accompanying the package is the February 2021 Android security patch with some reported bug fixes, enhancements in the camera, and improvements in the system.

If you are a Motorola Razr 5G user from any of the above countries, a notification will pop up automatically if the update reaches your device. It may take up to a week as the update is rolling out in batches. Alternatively, you can also check the status manually by heading to Settings -> Software updates -> Check for the updates.
