Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro gets stable Android 13 update

It’s been a week since Google released the Android 13 OS for its Pixel smartphones. Following the footsteps, the other companies, including Vivo and iQOO have started deploying the latest stable operating system. The first smartphones by the company to get the major software updates are Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro.

To recall, the Vivo X80 Pro and iQOO 9 Pro were launched a few months ago with Android 12 out of the box tossed with Funtouch OS 12/ OriginOS Ocean skin iteration on top. As for the latest update, the package is rolling out for the users who successfully applied for the Android 13 Preview Program a week back. FYI, the Preview Program was limited to India and so is the availability of the update.

As for changes, Android 13 does not major overhaul like Android 12. However, it still brings some UI changes, including more customization options for Material You. Moreover, several features are improved like the QR code scanning is seamless. In addition, it allows you to copy/paste between phones and tablets, integrated Fast Pair support, Bluetooth LE Audio support, Spatial Audio capabilities, and more. Furthermore, it carries a pre-app language option which allows setting different languages for different apps that too, without having to change the system language. Also, privacy and security are improved.
