WhatsApp mute videos feature is finally unfurling to iOS beta users

This year in February, WhatsApp introduced a mute video feature for Android beta users. After almost seven months, the feature is now finally making its way to the iOS beta users. The option will also be accompanied by a new design. However, we have no words regarding the stable rollout of the update.

The beta users on iOS can finally see a redesigned toggle to convert video to a gif and a mute video option. Also, the size of the video is immediately updated every time the user tries to edit the video. The mute video feature is live for all iOS beta users. In another case, you may have to wait a while for the next update which will have the feature on board.

“WhatsApp introduced a new feature to mute videos on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.3.13, 7 months ago. Finally, we can use the same feature on WhatsApp beta for iOS, including a good redesign! To verify if the feature is already available for your WhatsApp account, just try to send a video to a WhatsApp contact. If you see something similar, it means the feature is available for you!,” says Wabetanifo

As the name suggests, the mute video feature will enable the user to remove unwanted sound or music before sending the video to the other contact. Moreover, you the do the same before you share your status as well.
