Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 vs Mi 11 Ultra: Specs Comparison

Last week Xiaomi announced a new flagship device – Mi Mix 4 for the year 2021. The Mix series received a new device after a span of three years. Earlier, the brand had unveiled the Mi 11 Ultra, which competes with flagships from other major brands. Both smartphones come with the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. Mi 11 Ultra is the flagship device, and let us now put it up against the new flagship device, i.e. the Mi Mix 4. A major feature that stands apart is the CUP (Camera Under Panel) technology that is present on Mix 4. It means that Mix 4 has its front camera under the display. Before heading to the in-depth Mi Mix 4 vs Mi 11 Ultra comparison, let us look if both devices have any similarities.

Displays of both the devices have different size and  But it comes with the same refresh and touches sampling rate of 120Hz and 480Hz. Further, both get protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Underneath, as said, both feature the flagship processors from Qualcomm. Mi 11 Ultra gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 while the latter receives the faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. Both of these devices run on Android 11 out of the box. Even though both runs on MIUI 12.5, the Mi Mix 4 has the latest MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Mi Mix 4 and Mi 11 Ultra carries the exact RAM and storage type, i.e. LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1. Both feature the same optical under-display fingerprint scanner. Even though both come with Ceramic back, only the Mi 11 Ultra gets IP68 water resistance. Other standard features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Infrared sensor and USB Type-C 2.0. Even though the Mix 4 has the front camera inside the display, and both get the same 20MP sensor. It also brings support for Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 4.0. As you can see, one of the significant differences between both these devices is in the camera. Even though the Mi Mix 4 has a higher resolution sensor, it is actually the Mi 11 Ultra which is better due to the larger sensor size. It has a custom-made Sony sensor which follows by two high-resolution ultra-wide-angle sensors and a telephoto sensor. The camera setup in Mix 4 is not that great. The Mi 11 Ultra has a larger battery, but it’s the Mix 4, which has a faster charging tech. Both phones are heavy and almost has the exact dimensions.
