The 2012 flagship device has now received the 4.3 Android update. Its a bit late though. Samsung has also skipped the android 4.2 update and has set it on pause for a while and now the update is here. after the Samsung S its now the S3 with the android 2.3 update rolling.
As spotted and seen by Sam Mobile, the update has rolled out for Vodafone carrier version on Samsung S3. ans its expected to get updates on other Carrier versions soon.
The Android 4.3 brings to the Samsung Galaxy S3 a slew of big changes, including:
- TouchWiz refresh to match the new theme from the Galaxy S4 and Note 3
- New lockscreen with multiple widgets, adjustable clock size, and personal message,
- Actionable notifications
- Daydream mode
- Moving apps to the SD card is now possible
- New screen modes – Adapt Display and Professional Photo
- TRIM support – improves performance
- Galaxy Gear support
- Driving Mode
- Voice commands
The update upgrades our firmware version to version I9300XXUGMJ9 and can be recieved via OTA updates or by Samsung Kies companion software. Check the update for your device is available or not by going to this destination. – Settings > More > About Device > Software update > Update.
