Android Developers Welcomes Nokia X With Root Access; Google Apps Installed

Here’s the thing that Android developers do very fast, Nokia X has been rooted and Google apps has been installed on it. Nokia X is packed with the AOSP build of the Android 4.1.2 means it runs similar like Android on Amazon devices. But now you can taste pure Android on Nokia X as device has received the root access.

So it seems that Nokia’s plan to depict Android as laggy Operating System is now dream for them. So now developers who have the phone will be able to install and add other apps onto the system that they previously couldn’t, like Google’s services.

Procedure is quite simple as according to the XDA Senior Member Kashamalaga. First, you acquire root access using the Galdalf Exploit in Framaroot. From there, you install a root-capable file manager. Then, you copy a Nokia X-specific Gapps package by Kashamalaga to your /system/app folder, and give it the appropriate permissions.

Now various unknown features of the device will be tested at full throttle.

Here’s warm welcome to Nokia from Android Community.
