Blackberry Devices get January Security Patch

Blackberry Devices running on Android are getting the January Security patch. It is the first non-Google OEM which is rolling the update. Blackberry devices on carriers like AT&T are receiving with the update.

The Blackberry January Security Patch includes fixes for the vulnerabilities in the Android based Blackberry devices. Specifically, there are several vulnerabilities found in Qualcomm components, which are patched in the January security update. Even Qualcomm bootloader, GPU driver, camera, Wi-Fi and sound drivers have been patched as well.

So get your update when it gets available. Also, you can check manually if you holding Blackberry Android device by going to the settings menu and then hitting the software update option.

Additionally, Samsung has also posted January Security patch bulletin. They will be rolling the update soon to their devices. Google has already rolled out patch to their Pixel and Nexus devices.
