When all’s said and done, HTC’s latest flagship for 2017, the HTC U11 is set to launch this May 16, 2017. While the smartphone’s release date is just around the corner, its specifications recently showed up on the GFXBench, one of the popular benchmark sites.
The leaks confirm that the device is powered by Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC clocked @ 2.4GHz with Adreno 540 GPU. The device may launch in two variants, the base variant will kick off with 4 GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the higher variant to lead off with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, both expandable up to 2 TB.
The flagship will sport a 5.5 inch QHD display with finger gesture support. It will feature a 12 MP rear camera, while the front-facing camera is a 16 MP selfie shooter. The device will come with a USB Type-C port. However, there are no such details about smartphone’s battery capacity, but it will support fast charging with HTC Rapid Charger 3.0. The smartphone will be out with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, with the latest version of HTC Sense UI on the top.
The HTC U11 comes with all the latest specs, however, the smartphone’s exclusive feature will be the Edge Sense technology. The touch-sensitive edges on either side of the display can be squeezed to perform different actions based on user’s gestures.
