Photography improves:

A wave of powerful tools boosts your camera ability in this release. Balance Light in the Google Photos Portrait Light tool lets you customize portrait lighting for a professional look. With improved cat and dog identification, Photo Unblur ensures crisp photos of your pets. Night Sight Timelapse lets Pixel 8 and 8 Pro users take amazingly detailed timelapses in low light. Google’s cloud-powered Video Boost gives your videos a professional look, while Night Sight Video provides rich colors and details at night.

Pixel boosts productivity.

The December Feature Drop simplifies productivity. Clear Calling on Pixel Tablets ensures clear communication for essential calls. The new Clean tool easily removes smudges, stains, and folds from documents. Pixel 8 Pro customers may turn their Pixel into a powerful desktop webcam with a few clicks for remote employees.

Pixel Fold becomes more versatile:

The new Dual Screen Preview function is great for Pixel Fold users. This lets you project inner screen material onto the outside screen, making sharing, multitasking, and productivity simpler.

Additionally:

This update also adds a weather-displaying Clock app, the option to summarize recordings offline on Pixel 8 Pro, and a beta version of Smart Reply in Gboard for Pixel 8 Pro users (currently in US English and expanding).

The December 2023 Feature Drop is now available for Pixel 5a (5G), Pixel 6/6 Pro/6a, Pixel 7/7 Pro/7a, Pixel 8/8 Pro, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Watch. Watch for the OTA update message to upgrade Pixel performance.
