Huawei launches Band 4, which in fact is a re-branded Honor Band 5i launched a couple of days back with a pill-shaped button to differentiate it from the original’s circular button. The main USP of this fitness band is the built-in MicroUSB port for charging.

The Huawei Band 4 sports a 0.96-inches 2.5D TFT colour touch-supported display with a resolution of 160 x 80 pixels which falls short behind Xiaomi Mi Band 4 that has an OLED display. The band also features heart-rate sensor which helps in sleep-monitoring, NFC for mobile payments, and Bluetooth 4.2 for connectivity. It can be paired with devices running Android 4.4 KitKat or above and can be even used with Apple iPhones running iOS 9.0 or above.

The feature that makes the Huawei Band 4 stand out in the competition is the presence of a built-in MicroUSB port for charging. A 91mAh battery powers the band and Huawei claims 7 days of battery life with sleep and heart-rate monitoring turned on sans raise to wake screen. It  takes about 1.5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%

The strap of the band is made of silicone rubber, whereas the body is made of plastic. The band is water-resistant up to 5ATM or 50 metres for 30 minutes. It will be available in Graphite Black, Sakura Pink, and Amber Sunrise colour options. The Huawei Band 4 is currently on sale in Thailand and Indonesia for THB999 and IDR449,000 respectively. On the other hand, it is priced at CNY199 for the Chinese market and will be available from November 1.
