  • Enable Developer Option (settings – about phone – Software information – Tap 7 times on build number to activate developer option in settings menu).
  • Enable OEM Unlock. from developer option (Currently no workaround for those who doesn’t have this option. If you failed to do above mentioned steps, better don’t proceed further.   • Power-off the Galaxy Note 8.

  1. As of now you will lose Samsung Pay(I can’t lose it) and Secure folder forever if you root once, even unrooting won’t help. (Let us hope for the developers to bring a plausible solution for this terrible issue)
  2. OTA likely won’t work once you root device.

Root With SuperSusupersu

SuperSu is the most trusted root access manager. Moreover, the one and only root app available on Play Store. For rooting the Galaxy Note 8 with SuperSu follow the steps given below.

  • Reboot to TWRP.
  • From TWRP, Select WIPE menu – Then FORMAT DATA – You need to type ‘yes’ to perform wipe. WARNING : This will erase all data including Internal SD storage from device.
  • Once formating completes, go back and select REBOOT’ Menu and then – ‘RECOVERY’, This will reboot to TWRP again.
  • Now select Install and navigate path to Exeternal SD card – SuperSU, you have copied earlier.
  • Once SuperSu flash successfully, Reboot to System.

The new revolution in the Android rooting frameworks. The Magisk is now replacing SuperSU from all most all rooted devices, due to its extra-capabilities than the SuperSu.

Anyway, to root your Galaxy Note 8 using Magisk. Read further.

  • From TWRP, Select WIPE menu – Then FORMAT DATA – You need to type ‘yes’ to perform wipe. WARNING : This will erase all data including Internal SD storage from device

Make sure that, you choose any one of the root managers(either SuperSu or Magisk). Flashing the both simultaneously results in conflicts, and is of no use. In deed, it ought to end up completely futile.
