Motorola seems to be in hurry as they have started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update just ahead of its said date. Well, it’s good that they have started rolling out the Android Oreo to Moto Z Play in Canada. Erlier, Motorola quoted May 1, 2018 as official date for the update for the Moto Z Play.
Canada seems getting the update little late, as the update is already live in Brazil, Europe countries and some other countries around the Globe. It’s better late than never, atleast the Canadian users are getting Android 8.0 Oreo on Moto Z Play.
The update packs all the luxuries of the Android 8.0 Oreo along with some other changes. The update also packs March 2018 security patch which will improve your overall security. Those who are sticked to TELUS have already received the update on APril 18th, 2018.
The firmware version OPL27.76-51 is now available for Moto Z. It seems that this is the final update for the Moto Z from Motorola.
As usual, before updating make your phone charged upto 70%. Also connect to WiFi connection to save additional costs on the carrier. You can manually check for the update by heading over to the Setting and then About menu of your phone.
BTW, how many of you have received the Android 8.0 Oreo on Moto Z Play.
