Niantic Labs, the studio behind the phenomenal Pokemon Go announced that they are working on their next AR game. This new game titled Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will bring the JK Rowling’s Wizarding World to our Universe.
Niantic Labs partnered with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to bring this game as the Harry Potter franchise is owned by them. The game is being co-developed with Port Key games, a new sub brand of Warner Bros. especially for Wizarding games. According to Niantic, the game play will be similar to their previous AR games ‘Ingress‘ and ‘Pokemon Go’.
The players will have to explore the real world becoming wizards from JK Rowling’s magical world. The game might also have features to learn new spells and battle with other players in real life locations and much more. If it sounds familiar to you, then it is more like Pokemon Go which took the world by storm last year. As Harry Potter franchise is popular, it can be surely said that this upcoming AR game will be a massive hit. Thus, the dream of becoming a wizard will come true to ‘Potterheads’ around the world.
