OnePlus 6 and 6T were launched in 2018 with Android 9 (Pie) OxygenOS 10.3.1. While both smartphones are eligible to receive the latest skin, OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. However, for now, OnePlus has released a new update that knocks OxygenOS 10.3.9 for the OnePlus 6 and 6T.
In the last update, the OnePlus 6 lineup had received January 2021 security patch, which also is changing with the new software. Along with the tweak in the customized skin, the latest build brings a month-old February 2021 security patch that is based on Android 10 for the device.
The changelog published by OnePlus is to-the-point and does not provide any major modifications. Although, the update resolves issues with several bugs and enhances the user experience by improving system stability.
The update is meant for the stable channel, so it will be distributed via OTA to those who have already installed the previous Stable version of the software on their devices. Accordingly, the build will roll out in a staged manner to a limited number of users today. It will steadily make way for all users after making sure there are no critical bugs.
Also, keep in note that using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.
