To recall, Oppo F9 Pro was landed long back in 2018 by sporting a 6.30-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.   • [February 06, 2021]: The Oppo F9 Pro users have started experiencing a new update with the February 2021 Security patch. The update bears the firmware version CPH1823EX_11_F.17 or CPH1881EX_11_F.17 and apart from the new Security patch, bug fixes, and improvements to the system stability, it doesn’t feature any changes. As a result, this update is only meant to increase the smartphone’s Security patch level.
  • [September 30, 2020]: The September 2020 Security patch update for the Oppo F9 Pro is spinning on the CPH1823EX_11_F.14/ CPH1881EX_11_F.14 build numbers. Apart from the latest Security patch, the company has not included anything in this update. So, the Security patch might also include stabilizations, improvements, and a few optimizations.
  • [July 3, 2020]: Oppo F9 Pro users have started experiencing the Security patch for the month of June 2020. The update is rolling on the CPH1823EX_F.10, and it is based on ColorOS 7.1. The update features the latest Security patch, optimizations, and fixes for known issues. Reportedly, the company has not added any new features to the device. So, this update is only meant to increase the Security patch level of the smartphone.

Similar to all the other updates, it is also seeding out in a stagged manner and is expected to reach all the smartphones within a week. However, you can also check the update manually by navigating to Settings>Software updates>Security updates. Also, make sure to switch over to the WiFi network to avoid carrier data charges.
