This all-new 8GB LPDDR5 chip is 1.5 times faster than the current DRAM chips being used in the flagships like Galaxy S9, Pixel 2 XL, etc. This chip has a data transfer rates of 6,400 Mb/s which is great when compared to the 4,266Mb/s on the Samsung Galaxy S9. Better data transfer rates of this chip enable the transfer of 51.2 GB data. In near future, it will help to achieve the goal of 5G connectivity and AI compatible apps.

The new LPDDR5 chip will offer a mode termed as “Deep Sleep” which will help in decreasing the power usage. As suggested by the brand this chip is blazing fast and at the same time consumers less battery which will further help a smartphone to achieve a great battery life. The chip is UHD compatible and supports both AI and machine learning capabilities. The testing phase of this chip has been completed and soon someday Samsung will gonna start its mass production. We might witness this technology in the Galaxy S10-series devices.
