Samsung Drops European Injunction Request Against Apple

 samsung-vs-apple

Samsung appears to have changed its minds against Apple in Europe. This is the first time in Apple vs Samsung war that one company from both have withdrawn anything against each other. Isn’t its good? Samsung today announced that it will withdraw its request to have Apple products blocked from being sold in Europe. Samsung also added that they will continue to pursue lawsuits in which it is seeking damages for alleged infringements of its patented technology. Here’s Samsung’s wordings:

“Samsung remains committed to licensing our technologies on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms, and we strongly believe it is better when companies compete fairly in the marketplace, rather than in court. In this spirit, Samsung has decided to withdraw our injunction requests against Apple on the basis of our standard essential patents pending in European courts, in the interest of protecting consumer choice.”

This stepback came in Europe after a Judge in US denied Apple’s appeal to ban some devices in US.
