Samsung Galaxy F42 5G appears on Wi-Fi Alliance with Android 11

After introducing Galaxy F52 5G, Samsung is ready to add one more smartphone to the F-series lineup. A new device, Galaxy F42 5G has made its appearance on the Wi-Fi Alliance website with model number SM-E426B. The Korean giant is likely to launch the phone soon in some selected markets.

As the name suggests, Samsung Galaxy F42 will support a 5G network. As listed on the website, the smartphone will run Android 11 out of the box. However, the exact launch date remains unknown. Let’s move to the specifications and other details revealed by the Wi-Fi Alliance website.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G

As per the Wi-Fi Alliance website, the Galaxy F42 5G bears the model number SM-E426B. It will run the latest stable operating system, Android 11 along with the One UI 3.0 skin on top. The device will support 2.4GHz and 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi frequency bands. However, the Bluetooth standard remains unknown.

There is a probability that the Galaxy F42 5G couple be a rebranded Galaxy M42 5G, but with some tweaks of course. In that case, the phone could fuel Snapdragon 750G processor under the hood.

The Galaxy M42 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. It also runs Android 11 but with the One UI 3.1 Skin out of the box. The phone fuels an Octa-core processor-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G Chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Moving to the shooting section, it hosts a quad rear camera consisting of a 48MP Primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and a 5MP sensor to measure depth. On the other hand, there’s a 20MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Moreover, it equips with a 5,000 mAh battery, including 15W fast charging support. As claimed by the company, the phone can run up to 36 hours on talk time, 22 hours of Internet browsing, and 34 hours of video playback after a full charge.
