Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Launched in India at starting price of Rs. 21,999

Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy M12 in India at a starting price of Rs. 10,000. The Korean giant has now unveiled a new smartphone in India under the Galaxy M Series, named the Galaxy M42 5G. The smartphone highlights include Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC, 5,000mAh battery, Samsung Pay support, and much more.

Price and Availability

  • The new Galaxy M42 5G is priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs around Rs. 23,999. As an introductory offer, customers can purchase available the smartphones at a Rs. 2000 lesser cost on the original price. 
  • In availability, the M42 5G will go on sale via Amazon, Samsung.com, and others from May 1 at 12 PM. The device is available in Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray colour variants.

Talking about the specifications, the phone runs Android 11-based One UI 3.1 Skin out of the box. Moreover, it equips with a 5,000mAh battery, including 15W fast charging support. As said in the event, the phone can run upto 36 hours on talk time, 22 hours of Internet browsing and 34 hours of video playback after a full charge.

The Galaxy M42 5G fuels a 6.6-inch (16.77cm) HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. Moreover, the device is available in two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Apart from this, the device comes with support for the 1TB expandable storage support via a microSD card slot. Under the hood, the Octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G Chipset.

For photography, it hosts a quad rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP GM2 Primary camera + 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. To manage the front selfie duties like selfies and video calling, there’s a 20MP camera. Some of the camera features include Super-Slow motion, Scene Optimiser, Flaw Detection, Night Mode, Single Take, etc.
