Samsung is rolling out new updates and security patches to lots of their devices. Right now, the builds are rolling out for various devices such as Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, On7, J7, J5 and Tab S2 Plus 8.0. All, the devices are slated to receive these updates via OTA in some time from now.
Right now, the new firmwares are available for direct download and users can download and flash them. Most of the devices are receiving the August security patches in the form of new build versions.
If we talk about the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (SM-G928I), then it is getting firmware version G928IDVS3CQG2 after the recent update. Similarly, Galaxy On7 (SM-G600FY) has received G600FYXXU1BQG3 formware version.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) (SM-J710MN) and J5 (SM-J500M) both have received firmware version J710MNUBU3AQG6 and J500MUBU1BQF1. The Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 is not far behind as it is receiving the firmware version T719YDXU2BQF.
As said above, the update is not OTA, it is made available for direct download. Users who want to get it asap, they can download it. Others have to wait for some time for the official update to rollout.
